Castaldo Econosil Silicone Jewelry Molding Rubber is a firmer yet flexible silicone rubber designed for direct casting of low-temperature metals. It is particularly suited for jewelry, collectibles, and small industrial parts, offering high strength and fine detail reproduction at a lower cost than premium alternatives. The product features a distinctive brick-red/brown color and comes lined with special release paper on both sides for easy handling and demolding.
Econosil withstands temperatures up to 660°F (350°C), making it compatible with lead, pewter, tin, zinc, and other low-melting alloys. Its low shrinkage, high tear strength, and ease of cutting simplify the mold-making process, allowing for both simple and complex molds that deliver reliable results. Each strip measures 18” x 2 7/8” x ~3/8” (45.7 cm x 7.3 cm x ~6 mm), and is packaged for professional and workshop use.
