The Foredom LX Low Speed Flex Shaft Pendant Motor is a specialized high-torque, low-speed flex shaft system designed for precision workshop tasks that require enhanced control and consistent power output. It is ideal for delicate and intricate craftsmanship such as stone setting, wax modeling, pearl drilling, fine drilling, and other detailed jewelry work.

Unlike high-speed rotary systems, this pendant motor delivers strong torque from startup and maintains steady power throughout its operating range, with a maximum speed of 5,000 RPM. This helps prevent overcutting or damage to fragile materials during meticulous operations. The motor includes a 39-inch key tip flex shaft with a flexible neoprene sheath, improving handling comfort and maneuverability during detailed bench work.

Controlled by a compatible TXR-2 foot pedal, it offers smooth and reliable variable speed adjustment for hands-free operation. The LX motor pairs well with the H.15 and H.15D Hammer Handpieces and Foredom's drill press, providing a practical solution for workshops needing precise low-speed performance.

Available in two voltage versions — a 110V model with a blue label and a 220V/230V version with a red label — these color distinctions are factory identifiers and do not indicate counterfeits. The motor comes with a hanging bail and is compatible with key tip handpieces. Note that handpieces are sold separately. For proper operation, the LX motor should be used with compatible controls such as the TXR-2, SXR-2, or EMX-2 to avoid damage.
